Dr Alexander Ryan (aka Dr Ask)Dr Alexander Ryan, the principal of the CPG, is a Ph.D in psychology and registered psychologist in South Australia and the Northern Territory. He has treated more than 800 clients in his career. These clients experienced so many different type of problems and difficulties. They were depressed, stressed, worried, anxious, injured, suffering panic attacks or being harrassed at work or at home. Dr Ryan uses a number of approaches of psychologists such as cognitive therapy, CBT and hypnotherapy. He is also a lecturer in clinical and counselling psychology. He is the author of a psychological self development book called "Heads Up: Understand your Emotional Mind". [read more] Ms Emma Thompson (Associate)Ms Emma Thompson is a fully qualified psychologist with an honours degree, and several years training experience working with young people. Emma is currently working part time at the CPG and she also works as a senior clinical team leader at Service to Youth Council, a provider of a range of work and personal services to the youth of South Australia. She specialises in child psychology and practices CBT, ACT and other related strategies and approaches. Ms Jane Pountney (Associate)Ms Jane Pountney (Associate) is a registered psychologist with a Masters Degree, additional qualifications and experience in family therapy and relationship counselling. Jane has worked as a psychologist at Relationships Australia, Uniting Care Wesley, and in both Job Network and rehabilitation services. She also has extensive experience in vocational assessment and general employment issues. Jane explores practical solutions to everyday life problems such as relationship matters, anxiety and depression, grief and loss, and management of chronic health issues. She is comfortable discussing a wide range of concerns, and offers both brief and longer-term counselling and psychological treatment as appropriate. |
